Applications are now open for the 2026 Georgian Performances Program.
Georgian Showcase is a platform that connects Georgian theatre with the international professional community. Within the framework of the program, festival directors, curators, producers, theatre managers, and critics visit Georgia to explore contemporary Georgian theatre and establish new international collaborations.
This year, Georgian Showcase will take place on September 16–21. To participate in the program, applications must be submitted electronically, together with all required documentation, no later than May 31.
The following are eligible to participate in the program:
• State theatres of Georgia (from both the capital and the regions)
• Independent theatre companies and groups
The program will present only productions from the 2025–2026 season, as well as premieres scheduled to be shown within the framework of the Showcase.
Georgian Showcase is a platform where Georgian productions are presented to an international professional audience and helps promote contemporary Georgian theatre on the global theatre map. The program supports:
• the creation of new professional networks;
• participation in international projects (co-productions, festivals, tours);
• the creative activities of Georgian directors and actors abroad;
• exchange projects.
Important Recommendation
If you already have a production staged that you plan to present within the program, please do not wait until the application deadline.
Receiving information at an early stage will allow us to periodically introduce participating productions to international guests, which will increase interest in both your theatre and Georgian theatre as a whole.
When completing the application, please keep in mind:
• The text should be concise, clear, and informative
(the theatre description should reflect its current activities, repertoire, and artistic direction)
• Photographs must be high resolution
• Video recordings and promotional materials must meet high technical quality standards
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
The application must be completed online in both Georgian and English.

The Importance of the Program
Georgian Showcase is one of the important international platforms aimed at presenting contemporary Georgian theatre within the global professional arena. The program creates opportunities for Georgian theatres to present their works to international festival curators, theatre managers, producers, and critics.
The Georgian Performances Program is not only a series of performances, but also a space for professional meetings and new collaborations. Through this platform, Georgian productions are often invited to international festivals, co-productions are initiated, and new professional connections are established.
Georgian Showcase supports the integration of Georgian theatre into international cultural processes and strengthens Georgia’s position as an active and exciting space for contemporary theatrical art.
