Dear friends, dear artists!

On behalf of TBILISI INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THEATRE we would like to express our gratitude towards your interest on the initiative of Festival “NEW”.
We are delighted, as more than 400 applications reached us from all over the world.

At the same time, we would like to apologize for being late with final decisions. As we never expected such an interest and so many applications, we have to take more time for consideration than announced.

So, we are almost at the end of process and by the end of week, no later than 28 May, we will announce the list of companies and artists invited to “NEW”.
We will contact each of you directly and the list also will be announced on our web-site and Facebook.

The performance “Macbeth” (Vaso Abashidze Music and Drama Theatre, Director David Doiashvili) was  invited to Festivals in Israel, Croatia and Estonia in 2009.

The “Faust” performance (Basement Theatre and Kote Marjanishvili State Drama Theatre Joint Project, Director – Levan Tsuladze) was invited to the 5th Theatre Olympics in Seoul, Korea (2010).

Fingers Theatre and NFA (UK) Joint Project performed “My Hamlet” (Director, Beso Kupreishvili) in 2010.

Shota Rustaveli State Drama Theatre’s performance “Do we look like Refugees” was invited to the “Golden Mask” festival in Russia in 2011.

Batumi State Drama Theatre in Finland was invited to the International Theatre Festival in 2011.

 “Fingers Theatre” participated in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Sibiu International Theatre Festival and Israel Festivals in 2009 and 2010.

The INTERACT Meeting during the Tbilisi International Festival 2010 had promoters from Europe, Iran, Poland and the U.S.A.

David Doiashvili has been invited as a guest director to Hungary at the New Hungarian Theatre in 2011.
