Somewhere, a zone has been established — a mysterious place with a terrace, where dreams come true.
But the road to the zone is dangerous. Only the Stalker can lead people there.
He is often beaten, imprisoned, humiliated — yet he continues his mission.
Because he believes it is his calling.
He guides people there like “sinners to a church.”
On this journey, the Stalker is accompanied by two men:
a famous writer and a scientist — a romantic dreamer and a rational mind.
But what do such different people truly desire?
What are their real dreams?
Will they find the courage to reveal their most guarded truths to the zone?
Because the zone doesn’t respond to what is spoken.
It sees into the soul.
It fulfills only the most hidden, sacred desires — not the ones uttered aloud.
The zone knows what people truly think and it pays no attention to words.
But do people even know what lies in their own souls?
Do they truly dream of good — or of something darker?
Is there such a thing as liberty?
Do we really know what happiness is?
Perhaps fulfilling a dream could destroy someone.
Because only truly free people deserve to have their dreams come true.
To live a meaningful life means choosing to be a light for others —
even if it means burning yourself in the process.
Liberty Theatre was established in 2001 as a private theatre, founded by Avtandil Varsimashvili, stage director. For 24 years it has remained one of the most successful and prominent theatres in Georgia. In terms of ticket sales, it consistently ranks among the leaders of the local box office.
The theatre has a rich touring history, having performed in more than 20 countries. A particularly notable milestone was its participation in the Theatre Olympics in Budapest, where it presented two productions — Richard III and Othello — both selected for the main program.
Liberty Theatre maintains a diverse repertoire that includes both classical and contemporary works from Georgian and international drama. The program also features choreography, children’s theatre, marionette performances, and clown shows.
The company is composed of a stable ensemble of 25 well-known actors, along with regular guest performers. In addition to productions directed by Avtandil Varsimashvili, the theatre collaborates with both Georgian and international directors.
