About Performance:

"Pass" - the path of Golgotha – not everybody stand it and died. The history of our country, the story of the national shock from which we have not yet survived and we continue to walk on the magic circle. Shalva Dadiani Drama Theater is preparing to present to its spectators Nikoloz Sabashvili's version of Chuberi tragedy, story which was created based on the documentary chronicles Let's look at once again in the "mirror of the soul" that we no longer go on a magic circle and start a new life with the sense of civil responsibility.
 

Zugdidi Professional Theater was founded on April 11, 1868 with Molière's play.  Vakhtang Garik was invited as the first director, who create the theater troupe with  32 actors and encouraged development of young actors. The famous filmmakers and actors were working in Zugdidi Theater at different times. Zugdidi Theater celebrated 150 anniversary in 2018. During this 150 years  many  of Georgian and foreign authors have performed and played in the Shalva Dadaian State Professional Drama Theater of Zugdidi.

 

Theatrical life in Poti starts from February 17, 1882. Then On October 29, 1925 Poti Drama Theater was founded.

On November 11, 1936 on the stage of the new building the company presented the first performance . In 1963, the Poti State Theater was named after Valerian Gunia.

Since 2007 Poti Drama Theater became a member of the International Network of European Theaters.

Since 2008 Poti Drama Theater has been a member of the Regional Theater Network of Georgia and participated in various international festivals of theaters.

Theatre of Poti actively cooperates with different groups and young artists.

Theatre of Poti is handicap accessible and is the host of regional international theatre  festival already four years now.

Beside theatrical process, theatre tries to become the cultural center of society. We host  exhibitions, musical  evenings, films  and different events.

Work of the theater gets positive reviews. Critics mention that the theater of Poti is one of the most interesting theaters in Georgian theatrical reality. The theatre has been awarded multiple awards both in Georgia and abroad.
